This is my Wordle. In this Wordle there are phrases and words that are related to my topic "teenage pregnancies" and some of them are straight off of my blog. It has the emotions of a teenage mother would have at this point in her life. The colors is good for this topic too, because It plays on the emotions as well; fear, anger, pain and confusion.

What I want to know?

I choose to blog about this topic to get speak on this elevating issue of Americans youth’s getting pregnant. I have some essential questions that will help me do my research for my blog. These questions connect to my topic, and my findings will give us all so answers to this problem; it will explain why the issue is occurring and it could even affect the future for teens that is experiencing peer pressure to have sex, create support for them that is not getting from home, and will hopefully encourage young teens to be safe if they do decide to be sexually active. The questions I have a need to ask are several and they are as follows:

1. Why do teens feel they need to have a baby just to feel loved? Is it a mental condition?
2. When should parents now days start having a talk with their teens about having sexual relationships?
3. Is parenting one of the main causes for Americans pre-teens/teenagers getting pregnant?
4. What could actually make the rate of pregnancies decrease in our youth?
5. Is the youth less prepared for the sexual world then they think? Do they know all the risks?

What I already know about on this topic?

This is something that I am very much interested in. This topic also touches on want I want to be in the future; an obstetrician. Every day I am being faced with pressure from dudes to have sex with them or perform a sexual activity. Some dudes are just straight dogs. They will say anything to get you to do what they want you to. “I love you, if you love me like you say you do, you would …” Do fall for that. If he really love you he will wait till you is ready. There are too many STDs out in the world. A woman’s body is a temple; protect it. You confuses your love to them over and over to them but, it anit enough. Never give into press; if you’re not comfortable don’t do it.
I have a 15 year old cousin that has already had two abortions because they weren’t having safe sex. Her mother is not in the position to be raising children; she has issues of her own and is not involved in her children life; they are all autonomous. I believe that if her mama would have stepped in a long time again this would not have happened. Her current sex life is not any healthier then it was before. I wonder how her life will be in the next five years. Will she have a baby?
I understand that making babies is the universal goal; we all wants part of us to be on earth forever but, there is a certain age you should even being thinking about having babies. It plain stupid on your parents behalf for you to be between the age of 10 and 17 still living under their roof’s and end up pregnant. There is a nonstop incline in the rate of pre- teens / teenagers getting pregnant. It’s not just females not having good parenting, the males too; if the male was brought up at home how to treat a female the rate of teen pregnancy wouldn’t be half as high.
When will some of these parents step up and do their part? Inform their kids about sex and all the things other surrounding a teenager’s life. How could a baby be raising babies?

The story behind my topic.

Nationally, more than half of teenagers are virgins until they are at least 17 years of age (Sex and America's Teenagers, The Alan Guttmacher Institute, New York, 1994). In the U.S., 7 in 10 women who had sex before age 14, and 6 in 10 of those who had sex before age 15 report having had sex involuntarily. (Facts in Brief: Teen Sex and Pregnancy, The Alan Guttmacher Institute, New York, 1996). A teenager getting pregnant has become a very common in society now. Babies having babies.  As years go by the age of becoming a mother gets younger and younger.  What is the cause of this? Is it the lack of being educated on sexual actives? Irresponsible teenagers? Or is it the lack or parenting? People always say “I never knew my daughter was having sex.” Get real! Parents are not looking for the signs. I myself am a teenager, but not a pregnant teenager. I am well aware of all the things involving sex. My mother took time to time me when I was in fifth grade. I think one of the main problems is the lack of parenting. There are so many diseases out in the world that you could get from being sexually active that everyone should be aware of. If parent take time and inform their teens on sex instead of being like abstinence is the way. Not many teenagers do this. So many factors go into them us having sex; peer pressure, temptation, and etc.
